Environment at Manderley we try to do as much as we can to minimise our environmental impact and are continually looking for ways to improve .In the kitchen we recycle in line with Chester’s recycling policy. This includes cans, plastics, foil, card, paper and glass. We also compost as much as possible. We try to use resources such as water and electricity responsibly. This is good for the environment and keeps costs down in the longer term. We adopt simple but effective measures such turning appliances off, turning lights off where possible, use of energy efficient light bulbs (we are gradually replacing bulbs), taking care with water use when showering, cleaning teeth and filling the kettle. These are the small day to day things which do make a difference! Cleaning and washing are central to life in a B&B so we have appliances which are A rated for energy efficiency and we use environmentally friendly cleaning and laundry products.. Breakfast ingredients are sourced locally or within the UK where possible.
